In the Chasing Nikki series, Chase Walker is a footballer. What is inspired you, when you wrote this book series? How did you choose the cover model?
I had the idea for the series after spending a season watching my son play American football. I’m a HUGE fan of the sport and love attending all the games. I made the offhanded comment to my husband one night that I should write a book about football and he agreed. That’s when the idea first started in my head. I didn’t have much time to think on it at the time, though, because I was in the middle of writing/releasing books from my Of Witches and Warlocks series.
I saw my cover model, Chase Walden, when he moved to our town and became our new starting quarterback for our high school football team. He was amazing on the field and I loved watching him. I saw him out of all his gear one day after a game and my jaw dropped. I said to my son, “He would great on a book cover!” That was when the idea for this storyline popped back into my head and I approached Chase a few days later with my ideas and asked him if he’d like to be involved. He said yes, of course, and the rest is history!
Your other series is the Crush. Which part was most fun to write? Please, tell me something about this.
I can honestly say there was not one part of Crush I didn’t love writing!! I think I spent most of my time typing away with a big goofy grin on my face. The story came to me very quickly, and I wrote a huge bulk of it while on vacation in Las Vegas for three days. It was just a really fun book for me to do!
Can you tell me anything about what are currently working on?
I’m getting ready to release the sequel to Crush, Smitten, on June 23rd, so I’m working on edits from my editor right now with it. I’m also co-authoring Chased Dreams with Chase Walden. This will be the third book to the Chase Walker series. I’m also re-editing my Of Witches and Warlocks books and rereleasing them with new material and covers and merchandise that are exclusive to the books.
If you have a little free time, beside the writing and the children . What did you like doing?
I love watching football, and taking pictures. I like playing around with Photoshop a lot. If I wasn’t an author, I’d probably pursue something as a graphic artist. I really enjoy working with that medium. I also like to relax with a good book, listen to music, travel, and watch my favorite televisions shows a season at a time on Netflix during my days off.
Finally. Would you like to send a message to the Hungarian readers?
I’m super excited that the books are going to be translated and published in Hungary! That’s so amazing! I want to get copies of them for my own shelves too. I appreciate everyone there who has been so supportive, and I hope to be able to come meet readers there someday too!
Thanks for the questions!! 😀
